Position Overview

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen within Integrated Utility Services and we are looking for anexperienced Senior Authorised Person. This role can be based around the Stockton or Wakefield area.

As a Senior Authorised Person, you would be primarily responsible for the planning and safe operationaldelivery of work across all IUS workstreams, on Northern Powergrid and IUS Privately Controlled Networks.​

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating on IUS controlled Private Network in compliance with the Safety Rules, and relevant operational procedures, this includes taking on the role of Control Engineer
  • Operating on the NPg Network in compliance with the Safety Rules, OPM and relevant operational procedures
  • Operational control of IUS construction projects and the correct application of the Off System Rules Construction policy
  • Issuing of safety documents on HV networks
  • Setting staff to work and supervision of site activities
  • Planning of IUS HV operational works
  • Responding to faults on HC Networks
  • IUS standby cover

Essential qualifications & attributes

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or DNO / Recognised Electrical Authorisation
  • Previous experience as an HV OHL & UG SAP
  • Previous experience on HV DNO and private networks
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable qualification & attributes

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience as an HV/EHV OHL & UG SAP
  • Previous experience on HV/EHV DNO and private networks
  • IET registration (IEng/CEng)
  • Senior authorisation up to and including 132kV
  • Commercial and operational responsibilities
