ESB engaged Integrated Utility Services (IUS) to install new units to replace a number of their existing Ecar charging points. The work was undertaken at various locations throughout Ireland. IUS was selected for our civil capability, as well as familiarity with the installation of ducting for ESB networks. IUS complied with all ESB standards and procedures, resulting in a growing network of public charging points.

OVERVIEW

ESB engaged Integrated Utility Services (IUS) to install new units to replace a number of their existing Ecar charging points. The work was undertaken at various locations throughout Ireland. IUS was selected for our civil capability, as well as familiarity with the installation of ducting for ESB networks. IUS complied with all ESB standards and procedures, resulting in a growing network of public charging points.

DESCRIPTION

The project involved installing new and replacing existing Ecar charger points in over 100 locations throughout Ireland.


The work sites included built up areas, shopping centre carparks and remote rural locations. IUS managed the projects, complying with Health and Safety Regulations, traffic management procedures and local council requirements. All works were completed to ESB Specifications and Standards.


The scope of services included siting the new Ecar units on plinths cast in concrete, excavation of cable ducts, cabling between the Ecar charger points, installation of interface unit and the ESB mini pillar, signage, road markings, full reinstatement, and completion of test certification prior to sign off by our client, ESB.
