Position Overview

Reporting to the Business Development Manager and working alongside the Digital and Marketing Manager and Sales Team, a Business Development Co-ordinator is required to provide support to the Business Development team, assist in the marketing of IUS, the identification of business opportunities, the submission of pre-qualifications and support tendering activities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and maintain a register of information supplied
  • Produce project numbers in the CDA database
  • Update and audit the Salesforce customer relationship management tool
  • Assist in the production of weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports
  • Produce reports linked to Business Development
  • Be familiar with the Glenigan’s database for business opportunities and generate enquiries or arrange appointments for the Sales Team
  • Review appropriate tender notification systems to include portals, electronic newsfeeds, industry and company specific news information to identify any business opportunities.   
  • Monitor the IUS Enquiries mailbox and respond to emails as required
  • Answer all telephone calls to the IUS enquiries telephone number
  • Produce agenda, sales documentation and take minutes at the Sales Hub meetings
  • Provide support to T&E Team working on strategic large-scale tenders
  • Assist with electronic tendering on behalf of IUS
  • Assist in the production of IUS Sales & Marketing literature and documents
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the IUS website
  • Assist with internal communications including Newsletter, Annual Reviews, Feedback, Employee Engagement.
  • Manage the IUS Customer Charter process with a particular emphasis on client feedback
  • Design and content contribution to digital marketing including social media platforms - LinkedIn / Facebook / Instagram / Twitter etc
  • Coordination of IUS marketing products (Diaries, Calendars etc.)
  • Coordination of IUS marketing events
  • Produce management reporting information
  • Undertake any other ad hoc duties in order to support the Business Development Sales Hub team

Essential qualifications & attributes

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above (including English and Maths)
  • Sales understanding

  • Experience of recognising/sourcing potential opportunities
  • Marketing and design skills and experience
  • Working to deadlines
