Position Overview

A Tendering and Estimating Technician is required to provide accurate and efficient cost estimates mainly for Multi Utility projects located within the UK. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop and grow within IUS. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to analyse and interpret detailed clients’ requests, drawings and/or specifications 
  • Produce high level electrical, gas and water designs to DNO & IDNO standards for the purpose of producing accurate quotations
  • Develop accurate and timely estimates, produce clear and detailed quotations
  • Attend pre- and post-tender bid meetings with clients and/or their representatives
  • Identify and develop new customers
  • Identify new supplier’s and contractors to improve safety, performance, and profit

Essential qualifications & attributes

·    ONC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

·    Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable qualification & attributes

·    HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

·  Experience in multi utility with gas, water or electric connections in the housing, commercial and industrial sectors

·    HV and LV design and CDM sites

·    Familiarity with the regulatory environment
